In a sense that could be true but the reality is, as I see it, that a photographer either has the skills to bring the photogenic person out of everyone or no one. Interesting portraits, headshots or beautiful model photographs are created through a photographers ability to see and lure the photogenic quality out of the person being photographed. The clothes, the light, or the angles in which the person is being portrayed as well as the chosen location works together when creating stunning portraits. What I often do is I work with a modell as were she or he an actor and the same thing with an actor, as were he or she a model. With artists and authors I seek to portray an Icon. I lend postures and image from film, history and fashion to give greatness to the person standing in front of my camera. The model might later become a film stars, or the actor may become a great author. My portraits should always find and tell that greater story.
